World Asthma Day

6th May 2014

Today is World Asthma Day, and Asthma UK have published a report, the National Review of Asthma Deaths, which states that almost half of deaths could have been avoided with better routine care. Also that there appears to be prescribing errors of a horrifying scale which is a damning indictment of current routine practice.  The report also found that even people with mild asthma are at risk of a serious asthma attack and reinforces the need for vigilance in managing asthma.

Please help us to help them.

London Pride Spinhaler, Jeff Thomas, was interviewed for the 10:00 and 11:00 o’clock news bulletins and a longer segment regarding asthma at 11:10,  by BBC Wiltshire. To listen again to Simeon Courtie’s show click here.
