Captain – John Hall

MD of PGIR Ltd. Former Bath, Barbarian and England rugby player.

John Hall 2John is an ex international rugby player who represented his country on 21 occasions he also played for the highly successful club side Bath during the 80’s and 90’s and captained them to National league and cup successes in his final two years as a player. In 1995 John became the Director of Rugby leading the club to a league and cup double in season 1995-96.

Many years after finishing playing he decided enough was enough and it was time to get fit and shed some pounds so in 2009 John took up cycling and completed his first major challenge of Paris to Geneva in September of that year.

Despite many old rugby injuries including a replacement knee John enjoys his cycling and has taken on many challenges since 2009 including the Etape Du Tour in Annecy last year.

That same year a close friend lost his daughter Antonia, taken by an Asthma attack at just ten years old, needless to say the grief and the shock of this tragic event felt by family, friends and the local community cannot be described in words, John decided to take on this extremely exciting, but gruelling challenge in 2014 in her memory for Asthma UK.
